"Visited for the first time upon recommendation from a local. They have a full Italian menu with some unique items. I ordered an eggplant rollatini, which is stuffed with cheeses and spinach. Fantastic dish, a little heavy like a lasagna, but delicious.
Very good service."

This place has really improved. Hands down the best Calamari in the area. NOT a breaded frozen product, but fresh and prepped in-house. Meatballs are very good.
HOWEVER Note that prices on their web site and their take-out menu are about 20% lower than what you'll actually be charged. They say they're working on updating their web info...

"Been 3 times now. Loved the Rigatoni in a Creamy Bolegnese for an entree and spicy shrimp appetizer.

Lots of nice flat screen TVs to watch the game too.

Child friendly! They were able to accommodate my twin infants with two highchairs and were nice about them dropping cheerios on the floor too."

"I've read the other reviews and am surprised by them.  We loved this place -- it looks like something straight out of Italy, very old-fashioned looking with an open kitchen.  We had what I consider the best Italian food I've had in a long, long time.  (And we've had two trips to Italy in the last couple of years!)  I ordered the Tilapia Puttanesca and it was delicious.  My husband had the rolled chicken with prosciutto and mozzarella.  He loved it.  We also had broccoli rabe and a plate of mixed vegetables.  They were cooked to perfection.  My portion was so large I took half home.  The garlic knots that we were served were excellant.

We had a great waiter, so all in all, it was a really nice evening out.  I can't wait to go back."

- Thank you to Gaetano's Grille not only for catering my Dad's 100th birthday celebration for 150 people, the delicious food, and hosting the after party, but also for the 'little touches' - extremely professional delivery and set-up, magically appearing unnoticed to pack up any remaining food and leaving the buffet table immaculate, providing appetizer type food nicely displayed and hot (which was amazing since I was not able to provide an exact arrival time) as 50+ of us arrived at the restaurant for the after party, the family style presentation of, yes, more food, the friendly and efficient waitress, bartenders and the beautiful atmosphere. Gaetano's, without a doubt, helped make the birthday celebration a huge success!

Francine Z. Love it here! The salmon is friggin awesome.

Kevin S. Awesome food! never let's you down in a pinch.

On Saturday, 08/24/13, my wife, her parents and I were driving in the area, taking in the beautiful views of the Hudson River. We were getting hungry, and we were in the mood for Italian food.  We had been meaning to go to Gaetano's for a while, but we hadn't had a chance to go until today. We easily found it, and we parked our car.  As we approached the door of the restaurant, we could smell the delicious aromas coming from the kitchen. We entered the restaurant and were pleasantly greeted by one of the owners, Paul. He asked us if we would like to sit in the upper or lower dining room. The upper was quieter, more intimate and had a beautiful all-granite bar.  The lower dining room is more family orientated with booths and an open view of the kitchen. We decided to sit in a booth in the lower dining room. I love restaurants that have a view of the kitchen. You can see what's going on, and it's almost like you're a part of the action. It was a pleasure watching Gaetano's chefs at work in their beautiful kitchen.
Our waiter, Jimmy, greeted us with a smile and took our drink order. We asked Jimmy to recommend a red wine. He came back with a nice Chianti which was very good, along with bread and garlic knots. The garlic knots were warm and soft. I ordered a Caesar salad and the Tour of Italy which included a manicotti, lasagna, and stuffed shell in a meat sauce. My wife ordered a Caesar salad and the lasagna in marinara sauce. My father in-law had pasta carbanara with chicken and shrimp and my mother in-law had the manicotti with marinara sauce. The Caesar salad was very good. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. The dressing was very good and Paul informed us that their dressing was homemade. My father in-law liked it so much that he suggested that it be bottled and sold.
The entrées were served in a timely manner and were all hot. All three of the pastas in my trio were delicious, as was the meat sauce. My favorites were the lasagna and the manicotti which were homemade. I am very critical of tomato sauces and the chef at Gaetano's knows how to make a great one. The meat in the sauce was tender, and the sauce was not tart or overly sweet, but just right. My wife's homemade lasagna was like the lasagna I ordered, delicious, light and tender, and her marinara sauce was just as good as the meat sauce. My mother in-law said her manicotti was like mine, light, tender, with a nice ricotta filling. My father in-law said his pasta carbonara was fresh, tasty, with perfectly cooked pasta in a creamy carbonara sauce. The portions were huge, yet reasonably priced. For dessert we all split a plate of zeppoles. Needless to say, they didn't last long. Zeppoles are like little balls of fried dough doused in powdered sugar, mmmm, mmmm, good! Paul and Jimmy were very nice, and each came to our table to make sure we were happy.
We had a great time and a great meal.  We will definitely be back!

My wife and I ate at Gaetano's again on Saturday, 01/25/14. We were part of a large group there for a occasion having dinner in the upper dining room. I didn't know this but the upper dining room can be rented for private functions. We had the calamari, chicken francese, meatballs, sausage and peppers, and penne a la vodka. The calamari was awesome, I could have eaten just that. It was light, crispy and tender. The chicken francese was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The sauce had a nice balance of lemon and white wine. The sausage and peppers were tender and sweet and cooked perfectly. The meatballs were large, cooked nicely and tasty. It's hard to find good meatballs at a restaurant. I usually find them to be tough or rubbery from over working the meat but not here. The sauce was delicious, not too tart not too sweet, perfect. Finally, the zeppoles. If you like hot donuts with powdered sugar over them then please get the zeppoles!
Wow! Mmmm, mmmm good!

The dinners are pretty good here and the pizza is okay. We have gotten few different pasta dishes and veal/ chicken parm and they have all been good. For the type of restaurant it is (family place/ take out) it is a little on the expensive side though.

Great food at reasonable prices. They often have Groupon deals which make it even better! Servers are young but they are attentive and friendly. Everything is tasty.

Great service from a hilarious waitress made Gaetanos Grill memorable for us. Had to adjust our order for a pepperoni pizza as the waitress confessed she had "eaten it all", seriously.
Had a standard NY Italian sausage pie instead, perfect.
Interesting items on tap including Goose Island.

Pizza was great, and reasonably priced. Staff very attentative and good decor. Entrees were about $1-$2 more than I expected, but overall a great experience. We will be back.

loved the Mediterranean salad. Pizza was very good and still hot upon delivery. We've only done delivery so I don't know what the interior is like, but I'm much happier with them than the competition (Capriccio II has forgotten at least 1 item every time I order). very good.

I went to Gaetano's for dinner and from the service to cocktail to the food was GOOD! I had Chicken Marsala, my Husband had Veal it was full of favor. The waiter came over a bunch of times to check on us. I love that the waiter didn't push the sparkling water or drinks. I did have a martini and boy it was GOOD!!! Planning on going back soon.
